You're Probably Actively Procrastinating and You Don't Know It
Here’s how to call your own bull$h!t.
I am extremely adept at what I call active procrastination. In fact, I’m doing it right now. This article is an acute act of active procrastination. I should definitely be doing more research for the presentation I am making on Thursday. Instead, I am writing a blog. You’re welcome. 😉
Many people define active procrastination as a positive coping mechanism. Rowan University says, “Active procrastinators are defined as those individuals who prefer to work under pressure, and thus make deliberate decisions to procrastinate.”
Sure. That definition works. But I hate to say that my active procrastination comes in a different flavor. And I’m guessing some of you might relate.
My active procrastination rears its ugly head in one (or more) of the following situations:
